Point is, you have issues. And there are people around your age that are well maintained lamborghinis. They were born with better genetics and to a family with higher social status. They dont have mental health issues and are graduating from Yale, they are travelling in Europe and going to surf in Malaysia.
Life isn't going to slow down. You're not going to get any more time, and your half-hearted attempts at duct taping the loose parts is not going to save you, and definitely not going to let you overtake the luxury cars. No, most likely you're going to end up in a ditch on the side of the road. And this is going to be the end, no replay from the last checkpoint, no award ceremony. GG.
There is a solution though. You power through. Even though you're getting half the acceleration, even though they've already pulled impossibly ahead, the only possible solution is to just push forward on an empty tank and pray to whoever will listen.
And like, we can give you more or less useful tips. "Go to the gym". "Learn a language". "Quit video games". We can tell you about real and perceived life short cuts. "Go into IT". "Lie on your resume". "Don't masturbate". There is enough of this drivel elsewhere on the internet.
The truth is, this kind of advice is useless. The world is wide and complicated, and humans are even more complicated. We don't really understand the chaos and randomness and attribute our success to tangentially related events, and then proudly and confidently present this advice to a person in a completely different situation. Fuck that. You have to figure it out, and nobody can tell you what and how and when and who. Any advice that is so accurate that its always useful is so general that it isn't.
