In the early draft of Gundam SEED, Flay was supposed to be Strike Rouge's pilot and used by Earth Alliance for propaganda.
Fukuda said the Flay bomb would be sent into space, and that Sai would leave the Archangel to rescue her. the bomb would explode killing them both.
